Let It Ride Episode 47: A Fireside Reading of “Why Your Boss Has Short Hair”
Be A Boss
In the absence of independent empirical research, we’d betcha a pack of hair ties there are a lot more bosses out there with long hair than ever before—even in the last three years. "Why Your Boss Has Short Hair" alludes to why bosses and positions of authority have historically had short hair. It’s the same reason these boys have been bullied and banned from school. Why this guy gets razzed at work for rocking a high ball. And why men often believe they have to cut their hair to get a job.

That’s why we’re here. To advocate for men with long hair, with The Longhairs Professional Series, dear boss letters and respect for the combover. We’re here to disrupt the system.

In the 80’s-90’s my bosses from our parent company all sported ponytails. It was a monkey see monkey do thing with them. The owner grew out his hair and the others followed suit. When he cut his, so did they. I was a short hair back then and just snickered at them because of the obvious brown nosing going on. Now I have long hair, am retired and don’t care what others do.
