The Man with the Mannered Mane

Your locks better be on their best behavior because Mannered Manes Founder Trav White has RETURNED to the Let It Ride Podcast for an epic, in-person sequel to his virtual appearance in 2020. His trip to San Diego started a little bumpy, but smoothed out by the time he arrived at the new warehouse.

You may know Trav White from the fashionable, follically-focused content he shares on social media, or as the principal admin of the popular Mannered Manes Facebook Group. But chances are, you know him from the seven pieces of educational content he’s authored here on The Longhairs blog.

Being a High-Value Individual

We’re not talking net worth. The Mannered Manes founder is a serious hair guy who believes being a high-value individual, helping others, contributing, and being respectful are some of the qualities that define masculinity.

On The Longhairs blog we’ve seen Trav’s actions speak louder than words when he makes contributions to his audience, like letting you know when it’s time for a trim, revealing common hair growth mistakes, busting hair growth myths, and how to tell if you’re balding or shedding. This value extends to the app he founded, Mannered Manes.

Fighting The Resistance

Trav recently left his corporate job to go full-time on the Mannered Manes community. His story echoes what El Moreno and El Rubio did to get The Longhairs off the ground, where working for yourself offers endless opportunities…but endless work to be done.

Therefore, we contend with The Resistance, a concept from The War of Art the guys discuss in this episode. Simply explained, it’s the notorious and ever-cunning forces delaying and outright stopping each of us from putting in the work, improving ourselves, and exercising our creative talents.

In this case The Resistance may be subtly impeding you from listening to a relatable and insightful podcast—but you’re better than that, so listen to Trav White on Let It Ride.

What you'll hear about:

  • Why Trav’s wife won’t leave the hotel
  • How to determine your hair type
  • Tracking your hair progress in Mannered Manes
  • Conspicuously absent regulations in the hair care industry
  • What hard water build-up can do to your hair
  • The benefits of a hair mask
  • Trav’s philosophy on style and definition of masculinity
