Danny D is Letting It Ride
Life is going to throw you some curveballs. How you deal with them often shapes your perspective, while focusing your energy on what truly matters to you.
It’s a philosophy our guest and professional 3D artist Danny D shares in episode 78 of Let It Ride. His journey to long hair was beset with tribulations, from battling through the struggles of making it as a professional artist, to getting blindsided with a serious heart condition.
Danny D is a maker of things, from decorative plaster and sculpture to modeling and historical restoration. He uses his hands and his imagination to shape and create, and with a personal taste for darkness, horror, gothic and metal, he may have inspired some new horror-themed hair ties.
Through his personal and professional work, one fixture has remained consistent in his mind: I will prevail. His spirit and resolve to let it ride carried him through his journey to long hair and discovering his true, unapologetic self.
In this inspiring episode Danny D drops some great messages about character, pushing through life's obstacles and being yourself.

I’m an artist, though as a sideline, nothing professional. I use my illustrations as a vessel for my non-conformity, creating a group of hirsute heroes symbolizing and representing the kind of person I want to be. So, while I continue to wait until the time is right to begin my journey, the men I created are letting it ride.
Been a big fan of dans for awhile along with my boys . Hes so talented! His imagination is awesome
I grew up down the street from The Danimal & still maintain a good relationship with him.

Thank you so much guys! I’m listening to myself on the podcast right now. Very strange experience haha. I don’t hear my own voice very often. I knew I was a fast talker but jeez lol. I thought I controlled my accent too. I failed lol.
Thanks again!
