There’s an excellent chance your boss has short hair. Most bosses do. Your boss’ boss has short hair, and the people who have been telling your boss what to do for decades have all had short hair. It’s no question longhairs are discriminated against in the world of the professional workforce. In this case the guy had to show he was suffering from a body image disorder just to get his job back. Long hair limits your upward mobility. It’s hard to be a boss with long hair.

It’s no secret long hair on men is considered “unprofessional.” There’re a lot of jobs out there—most jobs—where you can’t have long hair. Why?
